Description
Yun Suknam is a prominent Korean feminist artist who, since the 1990s, has strived to empower women with her formatively diverse works, which include paintings, installations, and sculptures. The chair, which looks soft at first glance, has a large hooked spike protruding from it like a horn. On top of the chair lies a wooden figure of a woman in hanbok, contrasting with the smooth satin and reminding the viewer of the exhausting life of a woman.
