Details
Since the 1990s, Moon Beom has worked in monochrome, using shaped canvases, oil sticks, and automotive paints in his attempts to change. Moon spreads oil sticks with his fingers to create unique effects and shades of color. His canvases painted with oil sticks are reminiscent of traditional Korean ink-and-wash landscape paintings. Using materials and his fingers as tools of expression, he does not capture a particular scene but creates an unconstrained image of harmonious scenery.
