Along with jang, nong (cabinet) is a representative type of furniture used in the anbang to store clothing and other items. Unlike jang, however, each section of a nong is made to be separated so that it can be moved or stacked conveniently. This dense decorative technique is used to cover the front and sides with a tortoise shell pattern displaying elaborate and delicate craftsmanship.
