Details
Hwagak is a decorative technique using colorfully painted pieces of ox-horn. Each tier is symmetrically arranged with designs including cloud and dragon, the Chinese character for fortune (福), and double happiness (喜). The ornamentation is well balanced and decorated with various patterns representing auspicious signs and wealth in six colors: white, black, red, yellow, green, and gold.
