Details
This five-tier open shelf has legs shaped like a dog’s foot, a design commonly found in wardrobes and tables. The structure’s panels resemble work from the Qing dynasty. Patterns embossed on both sides include a head of yeoui (curved decorative object used for Buddhist ceremony), cloud and treasures, and eternal youth herbs. On the railings of each tier, a Buddhist swastika (卍) pattern and verses with five words for each line on a flower-pattern base are engraved. The carvings show superb craftsmanship.
