Description
Jo Hui-ryong (1789~1866) left behind many paintings of plum blossoms, whose frameworks were derived from the appearance of dragons. The plum trees in full bloom illustrate nature’s creative energy and spring mood. The signature seal in the painting, used by the artist during his exile in Imja island, suggests that the painting was created in his mid-sixties.
